Digestive health services we provide

Our GI specialists offer diagnostic and treatment options that are customized to meet your current and future needs. Depending on your GI condition, your treatment plan may include lifestyle changes, medication or surgery.

Diagnostic options

Obtaining a correct diagnosis early is essential to providing you with the comprehensive care you need. Some diagnostic services we offer include:

  • Laparoscopy — sometimes called an exploratory laparoscopy, this minimally invasive procedure is used to examine and diagnose intra-abdominal diseases.
  • Lower GI endoscopy — this procedure is used to examine the lower GI tract.
  • Upper GI endoscopy — a procedure used to visibly examine and diagnose issues in the upper GI tract.

After receiving your diagnostic results, our GI specialists will create a care plan that works best for your health needs and goals. If surgery is necessary, our medical team prefers to use minimally invasive, robot-assisted procedures whenever possible. These surgeries typically result in faster recovery times and minimal scarring.

GI cancer screening

To screen for GI cancer, our specialists may use a variety of tests, including biopsies, colonoscopies and barium enemas. We’ll also be able to determine the type and stage of the cancer, should any be found during the screening process.

Acid reflux treatment

If you or a loved one are living with heartburn, acid reflux or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), our gastroenterologists can help. Although we prefer to treat these digestive issues through lifestyle changes or medication, we do offer surgical treatment options as well, such as:

  • Bariatric surgery
  • Fundoplication surgery
  • Insertion of magnetic devices for reflux
  • Transoral incisionless fundoplication (TIF)
