Our outpatient mental health programs
Outpatient behavioral and mental health treatment is ideal for adults and adolescents who need more support than they get from a routine therapy session. It is also a good transition if you have been receiving inpatient care.
Intensive outpatient program (IOP)
In our IOP, we provide support as you transition from a higher level of care. You may also participate in our program if you have a physician referral. IOPs are more intense than once-weekly therapy sessions, yet do not require full hospitalization.
Sessions meet three to five times per week, Monday through Friday from 9:00am to noon. Treatments last from two to four weeks and allow you to maintain a work schedule. An IOP may be an option if you are:
- 18 years old or older
- Medically stable to participate in the program
- Not demonstrating an immediate risk of harm to self or others
- Not experiencing social, occupational or functioning impairments
- Not under custodial care
- Willing and able to participate in cognitive-based therapy
Outpatient partial hospitalization program (PHP)
Our PHP provides psychiatric outpatient care in a safe, comfortable setting. Your team's primary goal is to improve your level of functioning and reduce symptoms to prevent relapse or full hospitalization.
Sessions are conducted Monday through Friday for three to four hours per day, allowing you to return home after sessions. The program duration is usually between two and four weeks. However, the length of your treatment depends on your condition and assessment.
Customized treatment plans rely on the results of multidisciplinary evaluations. Your plan takes into consideration your mental capabilities as well as physical health. Then, your care team designs a therapy plan to get you to the level of mental function that best fits your needs. Each week, your team reviews and updates your treatment depending on your recovery progress.
Substance abuse program
If you struggle with managing a substance use disorder, you don't have to do so alone. With our addiction service, Substance Use and Recovery Program, you'll have access to a team specially trained to treat a variety of substance abuse issues. We begin with evaluating and assessing your condition. Then, skilled addiction psychiatric specialists prepare a custom plan for your needs which may include:
- Group therapy sessions that meet on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 12:30pm to 3:30pm, lasting four to six weeks (as assessed by your care team)
- Psychiatric assessments and treatment plans developed by a board-certified addiction psychiatrist
